100 Days of Halloween Happy & Three Facts About Me
It’s one of my most favorite times of the year. We are now under 100 days until Halloween. Each year, Sam from Halloween Happy provides prompts for the Spooky Community to join in with posting seasonal Halloween content. There is a sort of excitement, a vibe, that follows. People engaging, sharing, cheering on, and supporting each other even more than we usually do. Not everyone participates because a countdown can be viewed two ways: excitement leading up to an event, but also as a countdown of the days we have left of a season coming to an end. I get it. Every year on November 1st I get the post Halloween blues. “I can’t believe it’s over.” Luckily for us Autumn enthusiasts, the season isn’t over. We still have several weeks before Winter officially begins.
Side note: I am absolutely at home in this Spooky Community. I have found inspiration, camaraderie, as well as friendships here. Most of us have never met in person, but last year, several of us had the opportunity to meet in real life while in Salem, Massachusetts, right there in the Salem Common, by the gazebo. I’m telling you, watching Hocus Pocus now, during the scene where Max and Allison are leaving school and walking through the Common, just hits differently. In the best way. Getting to meet several of the Instagram friends in person, hugging them so tight, laughing together brings so much happiness. No judgement, no weird looks for being obsessed with Halloween. Just a common love.
And so, the 100 Days of Halloween Happy is upon us. Sam always kicks it off with a “get to know me” prompt. Here’s mine.
